To the best of my knowledge all the stanhopea names are correct. Whenever I'm not sure about a name I'll make a note in the post.

Stanhopea costaricensis (No 4)
A species found in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters.
This is another clone of this very varied species. This plant has an eyespot on the hypochile
The costaricensis flowers most years in January. This particular plant grows outside in Sydney. I’m finding some other costaricensis clones are doing better grown in the glasshouse.

A species found in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 500 to 1500 meters.
This was my first clone of this very varied species. Hopefully I'll be adding many more costaricensis images to this blog in the years to come.
This guy flowers just about every year anytime from late January to April.
